“I’ll break your neck”…Brendan Schaub unleashes a rare outburst of violence against Nate Diaz after receiving a surprisingly violent insult from the UFC legend

Brendan Schaub is finally firing back at his haters.

For several years, the former UFC heavyweight has been regularly confronted with hate comments from fans and fellow fighters on the Internet.

The ex-fighter turned comedian and podcaster usually turns the other cheek, but refused to do so after being insulted by Nate Diaz for no apparent reason.

Schaub and Diaz clashed backstage at the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor match in 2017, and now, seven years later, their fight has seemingly gotten back on track out of nowhere

Nate Diaz upsets Brendan Schaub with an unwarranted insult

On Friday night, Diaz took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to give Schaub a new and unkind nickname, provoking a violent outburst from “Big Brown.”

“Brendan, big ol’ idiot Schaub,” Diaz tweeted.

Schaub leaves a lot unhindered, but he felt compelled to fire back at his former UFC colleague, whom he challenged to a grappling match that he was convinced would end in a serious injury to Diaz.

“Oooh buddy. I probably weighed 20 pounds, so not too far off,” he replied.

“I’ll break your neck. Arrange a grappling match and let me know how it goes for you. Have one of your caregivers read this tweet and get back to me.”

The 41-year-old upped the ante by sharing his response on Instagram and adding a caption that speculated on what may have prompted Diaz to insult him out of nowhere.

Schaub also doubled down on his suggestion for a grappling match.

He wrote: “I’m not sure what triggered this guy. I’m assuming I’m mentioning CTE.

“It’s all ok. Do something about it, buddy. I’m not hard to find. Have your handlers host a grappling match. Let’s see how things go for you.”

Bredan Schaub may have angered Nate Diaz with his recent comments

In December 2014, Schaub left MMA after being dominated in a TKO loss to Travis Browne, a few days before his friend and UFC commentator Joe Rogan staged an infamous intervention on his podcast.

A decade later, the former heavyweight contender is glad he has retired.

Schaub recently became emotional while discussing his former sparring partner Shane Carwin, who has been in financial trouble since his UFC career ended in 2011.

Although Carwin has an engineering degree, he was unable to keep his job because he had symptoms consistent with CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), a neurodegenerative disease caused by repeated trauma to the head that can only be diagnosed through an autopsy .

A few days later, Schaub announced that he had accepted a massive fight offer.

Jorge Masvidal approached him and wanted to do a bare-knuckle MMA fight.

Since he wasn’t enthusiastic, Schaub claimed he would retire but only for an “unusual” amount of money, which put him in a strange situation as “Gamebred” immediately agreed to it.

Nevertheless, the American heavyweight refused. Schaub told MMA reporter Damon Martin that he didn’t want to take any more hits to the head and didn’t need to be “Elon Musk rich.”

It is currently unclear what exactly caused Diaz to insult Schaub in this way.

Only time will tell if the two men can resolve their differences on the mat.
