DS Penske is the first Formula E team to introduce the F1 record breaker

DS Penske has officially unveiled its new car for the upcoming Formula E season, with an eye-catching new livery for the team.

The Versailles-based team is the first company to take the covers off their car for the new Gen3 EVO era of FE, with both two-time champion Jean-Eric Vergne and new signing Maximilian Günther in attendance at the launch.

As the first team to unveil its new car – the DS E-TENSE FE25 – DS Penske is the first team to show the car that is officially the fastest FIA single-seater of all time.

The new FE Gen3 EVO accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, making it 30% faster than a current Formula 1 car. This is possible thanks to the all-wheel drive, and softer Hankook tires are also introduced.

For the next FE evolution, DS Penske has installed a new powertrain that has been developed by DS Performance over the past few years. The new FE car also features a new aerodynamic body.

DS Penske has introduced a new livery similar to last season’s one-off design in Monaco. The new design is predominantly black, with gold stripes along the body edges.

Season 11 is of great importance for DS Penske as it looks to extend the fight against the Porsches and Jaguars on a regular basis, with the French-American team hoping to achieve this with the new car.

“For DS Automobiles, this season has even more meaning than a title,” said Eugenio Franzetti.

“First we start our 10th season of Formula E! Since 2015, our brand has achieved 121 races, four championship titles, 16 wins, 51 podiums and 24 pole positions – that is extraordinary.”

“In addition, we are now presenting a car with a completely new design and a new powertrain developed by DS Performance.

“Today I am particularly proud of the enormous work that our engineers and mechanics have done over the last two years. The DS E-TENSE FE25 will be a great asset for us in leading DS PENSKE to great success.”
