Former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall feared going to prison after brutally knocking out his opponent in a 2-on-1 MMA fight

Eddie Hall recalled his infamous 2-on-1 octagon fight in a recent podcast with UFC veteran Michael Bisping. The former strongman switched to martial arts after his retirement and after a few months of training decided to step into the cage against two fighters. both seemed vertically challenged.

And while he spectacularly knocked her out, he really believed he was going to jail for it!

On a recent episode of the Believe You Me Podcast hosted by Michael Bisping on YouTube, Hall spoke about the incident and specifically a knockout, saying:

“I felt sorry for him too…usually you feel something at the tip of your fist. I didn’t feel anything, it just went right through his face…..Because I didn’t feel anything, it was like that…. ‘Oh man, I’m going to jail now’.”

Luckily for Hall, his opponents regained consciousness just minutes later. The Brit even spoke to him afterwards and his opponent revealed that he had had a headache for a few days.

Hall was already limited in his ability to commit to the fight because the promotion running the show had a set of rules he had to follow.

Yes, as it turns out, there were some things the former strongman wasn’t allowed to do in the fight, some predetermined conditions, due to the size difference between his opponents and him.

Eddie Hall reveals the rules for his 2v1 fight

The Neffati Brothers knew what they were getting into when they challenged Eddie Hall to a fight. That’s why the Brit praised them for having the courage to get into the cage with him.

However, given the difference in size and power, they had to agree on some rules before the fight. Hall spoke about this in the same podcast episode:

“We had some agreements where I couldn’t use my body weight and hit them on the ground because you didn’t want to break people’s necks and stuff.”

He then talked about how he offered the Neffati brothers to wear 8-ounce or 12-ounce gloves, but the two insisted on wearing 4-ounce gloves like in a real MMA fight.

However, the fight didn’t last long as everyone predicted. The difference in size and performance was simply too great for the brothers. And after a brief skirmish, they realized that it would take a few more of them to attack Hall. The strongman landed a few quick shots and ended the fight, much to the delight of the fans.
